How Can I Make a Booking?
The easiest way to book is through our website. Alternatively, you can call us on 07840 013795 during office hours or fill out our contact form.
How Much Notice Is Needed for a Booking?
You can book at any time, but we recommend booking as early as possible to avoid disappointment—especially during busy periods.
What’s the Cost?
Prices vary depending on the inflatable, location, and whether it’s for private or commercial use. All listed prices are based on private garden or hall hires. If you’re planning a public or corporate event, please contact us directly to discuss your needs.
What’s Included in the Price?
All bookings include local delivery (within 15 miles of KY11). A small extra charge may apply if you’re outside this area. You’ll receive the inflatable, blower, extension cable, circuit breaker, crash mat, and full setup, inflation, delivery, and collection.
When Are You Open?
Mackies Bouncy Castle Hire operates 7 days a week, all year round—including Bank Holidays.
How Long Can I Hire the Inflatable For?
You can hire the inflatable anytime between 7am and 6pm—a maximum of 7 hours per day, for weekly hire contact us. Please see individual product pages for pricing.
Can I Hire Overnight?
Yes, under certain circumstances. Overnight hire is only permitted for secure, private gardens with a fence or wall at least 6ft high and a lockable gate. Please contact us to discuss.
Do You Require a Deposit?
Yes, we require a 25% non-refundable deposit on all bookings. Deposits are non-transferable, except in the case of cancellations due to bad weather for outdoor hires.
How Do I Pay?
Deposits are due at the time of booking. The remaining balance is to be paid in cash upon delivery. For corporate events, full payment is required via BACS at least 7 days prior to the booking. Sorry, we don’t accept cheques.
What If I Need to Cancel?
Cancel more than 14 days before your hire: lose deposit only
Cancel 14–7 days before: 50% of the total hire cost due
Cancel within 7 days: full payment required
Please give as much notice as possible. If a group or bulk booking is made and you cancel part of it without notice, the full amount may still be due. Once part of a bulk booking has been used, remaining hires must be paid in full based on individual prices.
Note: This does not apply to cancellations of outdoor hires due to bad weather.
What Happens If It Rains?
For safety, we cannot operate bouncy castles in heavy rain or wind. The legal wind gust limit is 24mph, which we check through the Met Office.
Can You Set Up on a Slope?
We cannot set up on a noticeable slope. A slight incline may be acceptable—please discuss this with us in advance.
How Long Does Setup and Pack Down Take?
Set-up and pack-down typically take around 20 minutes each, though times may vary by inflatable. Please ensure there’s accessible parking close to the setup area and cover any parking charges if applicable.
How Much Space Is Needed?
Please allow at least 5 feet at the front and back, and 3 feet on each side for blower access and safety. Clear the area of garden toys, furniture, rubbish, and other obstacles before we arrive.
What Do I Need to Provide?
We supply all necessary equipment. You must provide a 240V mains power supply and two forms of ID (e.g. driving licence, utility bill). A valid contact number is also required. If we cannot reach you on the day, we may cancel your booking.
Do You Provide Safety Instructions?
Yes, detailed safety instructions are supplied with every hire.
Is There an Age Limit?
Yes, our children’s inflatables are suitable for ages up to 12 unless stated otherwise. We also offer inflatables suitable for teens and adults.
What If the Equipment I Booked Isn’t Available?
Mackies Bouncy Castle Hire reserves the right to offer an alternative if your chosen inflatable is damaged or unavailable. You may accept the replacement or cancel before the hire begins. If you’re unhappy during your hire, please inform us immediately or on the same day.
Do You Hire Equipment to Third-Party Companies?
No. Mackies Bouncy Castle Hire does not supply equipment to any third-party providers under any circumstances.
Must the Inflatable Be Supervised?
Yes, a responsible adult must supervise all hires. For public, school, or corporate events, we require written permission from the venue owner or local authority. Our trained staff must supervise these hires at an extra charge—please email us at sales@mackiesbouncycastlehire.co.uk for rates.
Can You Set Up in a Public Park?
Only with prior written permission from the local council. Without this, we will not set up in public spaces.
Do You Set Up on All Surfaces?
No. We only set up outdoors on real grass. We do not set up on artificial grass, Astro turf, concrete, tarmac, patios, or driveways. Direct vehicle access is required—we cannot carry heavy equipment over long distances.
What About Insurance for Events?
If your event requires insurance, it must be supervised by a member of our staff to be covered under our policy. Alternatively, you must provide your own public liability insurance, including cover for inflatables. We require a copy of this insurance at least 48 hours before the event. Supervision is charged at £15 per hour, and some inflatables require two staff. Contact us to discuss.
